Thermal Tech Top
Very useful in the colder seasons. Can be offered in both long and short sleeve versions, with long sleeve tops recommended for warmth during cold winter outings.

Thermal Leggings
Gilet
Worn as outerwear; wind resistant, impressively water resistant (but not quite waterproof) and breathable. Can also be worn casually.

Like the tech top but for legs, made of a light, wicking fabric. Recommended for keeping warm during the coldest months.

The basic essential Lycra all-in-one. Worn all year round as can be layered over thermals (like tech top) in winter and worn alone in the summer.

Why Buy Kit?

Technically, club kit is very useful for training and especially for racing. Almost all the club's rowers train in club kit, on offer are all sorts of water resistant and breathable outerwear as well as thermal tops and leggings to keep us warm in the cold Winter months. Rowing kit is form fitting and leaves no billowy fabric to get caught up in, and so is essential for racing. Aesthetically, it works as our uniform; people wear their college kit with pride, and a well kitted crew say that they mean business.

Importantly we are sponsored by Morrison & Foerster, and all kit will have our sponsor's logos which we will be obliged to advertise when we race.

What should I buy?

We don't expect people to buy everything. While a full complement of kit is great in an ideal world, kit is expensive. The Committee recommends that people buy a Unisuit as the basic essential bit of kit. The unisuit is the only piece of lycra with the LCBC Logo, and our sponsors logo making it essential for racing.

What happens with ordering?

Kit is usually ordered together at the end of Michaelmas term, to arrive shortly after the beginning of Hilary Term. Scope may arise later on in the year for further orders if demand is there - the Committee will keep members posted if this is the case.

For any further information on kit at LCBC or questions about the costs of kit, please don't hesitate to get touch with the Secretary.
