"How much does it cost to join?"

Coxing

Nothing! LCBC prides itself on being one of the only clubs in Oxford which doesn't charge a joining or membership fee. Kit is subsidised and we are currently working with college to secure funding to make our annual training camp more accessible to those members receiving hardship grants.

There may be eight rowers in the boat, but no crew is complete without a coxswain! LCBC provides ample opportunities for fresh and seasoned coxes alike. Whether you want to cox and row or just focus on coxing, we'd love to have you.

LCBC welcomes all new members from the Lincoln community, whether you have years of previous rowing and/or coxing experience or none at all. If you are interested in joining us, send us a message on the contact us page or message us on social media.

"I've never rowed before - can I join?"

Of course! Some of our members rowed before coming to Oxford, but the vast majority had never touched a blade before arriving at Lincoln. We run an annual taster day during Freshers' Week of Michaelmas Term, so feel free to come along and try it out! We are also open to inquiries throughout the year, so don't hesitate to get in touch.

"I heard that you have to be really tall to be good at rowing - is that true?"

Nope. We have many excellent rowers who are short, and brilliant coxes who are really tall. We welcome all body types and fitness levels, just bring your enthusiasm!
