The Women’s Side This term the senior women have had a fantastic squad of 8 committed girls training under our new head coach Alex Bostrom. We have entered several races this term. Our best performance was a fourth place finish in the W8+ category in IWL A, but performances were generally strong in all events. Many of the seniors have also helped with coaching novices this term and we are all very much looking forward to having them row with us next term. We are hoping to have 4 women’s boats in Hilary.

The Men’s Side Michaelmas term has been a great term for the senior men. With 11 motivated men in the squad, we were able to enter two boats in Autumn Fours, with our A boat losing to Pembroke in the final. We then competed in an eight and a four in IWL A, with our four coming second, this time behind Christ Church. After that, we rowed in Nephthys in a four and an eight, with the four coming second again. Finally, we did IWL B in an eight. This term has been very useful for us because the many races have given us the opportunity to try out new combinations for Torpids, as well as giving us valuable race experience. Looking at our novice crews, I think some strong rowers will be joining the seniors and we can’t wait to row with them.
